We are proud to announce that PhD candidate Johannes Stangl (Complexity Science Hub Vienna), member of REMASS project team, participated in the 8th Lindau Nobel Meeting in Economic Sciences, held at the end of August 2026 in Lindau, Germany.

The Lindau Meetings are globally renowned scientific conferences that bring together Nobel Laureates and a select group of the most promising Young Scientists from across the world. Alternating annually between the disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, and Economic Sciences every third year, these meetings offer a unique platform for cross-generational dialogue, intellectual exchange, and international collaboration.

Selected through a highly competitive, multi-stage application and nomination process, Johannes joined 280 young economists from over 60 countries at Lake Constance. The meeting featured 22 Nobel Laureates in Economic Sciences, offering participants rare opportunities for personal interaction, mentorship, and inspiration.

Notably, Johannes was invited to take the stage during the Welcome Session, marking a special moment of recognition among peers and Laureates alike. His participation underscores the excellence and global engagement of the REMASS team.
