REMASS Workshop "Resilience - across socio-metabolic, network and supply chain systems: Integrating Social Science and Complexity Perspectives"
This workshop addresses the current polycrisis and increasing volatility of resource supply chains. It aims at improved understanding of the resilience of social metabolism (ability to recover from shocks), as well as its malleability (capacity to transform resource systems toward sustainable wellbeing for all). The workshop will feature several international guest speakers and will bring together experts from diverse scientific fields to discuss a range of perspectives related to resilience from the natural and social sciences, as well as from interdisciplinary research fields such as Socio-Ecological Systems research and Industrial Ecology.
Discussions focus on concepts, methods, and evidence across socio-metabolic, network, and supply chain systems.
